There is a BT/Openreach box on the side of my house with wires from the box serving at least 3 neighbouring houses. I have lived here for 5 years and am not aware of any . I have a BT junction box in my front garden. ask them to run an underground cable from the pole before your property, to a junction box(bt66) on your property. not sure if they will but worth a try. BT (Openreach) still have the legal right to place a telegraph pole or other equipment in your garden without your permission providing they follow the statutory process and it is necessary to place their equipment on your property without your permission .

Last year they butchered my hedge and made a real mess of the area around the box, which is my property. I left phone messages with their complaints line, but got no response. We don‘t even use BT.
